Serpent & Sword Brooch

Description A remarkable victorian serpent and sword brooch made from 18 carat white and 18 carat yellow gold. This magnificent brooch has old cut diamonds on the snakes body and the swords handle with vibrant rubies for the snakes eyes and one in the centre of the sword. A snake entwined around a sword in victorian times represents everlasting love, loyalty and honour. The brooch is secured with a pin and a safety chain. Brooch length: 2.5 inches This brooch is 18 carat gold tested. No hallmark. A serpent and sword symbol is also associated with medicine and healing.
